Two weeks ago, 400 Licensed Interior Designers and Architects gathered at the Banff Springs Hotel for the Alberta Association of Architects’ biennial “Banff Sessions” design conference. It was incredibly inspiring to be there, surrounded by so much creativity, talent, and passion for design. The speaker lineup was outstanding. Highlights for me included architect Sasa Radulovic from my hometown of Winnipeg, Newfoundland-based architect Todd Saunders - who shared insights on designing the architectural masterpiece Fogo Island Inn - and Marwa Alshara from Stantec’s Edmonton office, whose session was truly moving!! I’m so excited to share this stunning, newly completed Show Suite on the 14th floor of First & Jasper downtown! This project truly came together thanks to an incredible team - from our client (GWL), to the contractor (Seagate), to all the talented trades and amazing product reps. I feel so grateful to collaborate with such fantastic people time and time again. It was a true team effort! The space has an incredible vibe - modern with a touch of moodiness, balanced by pops of colour and plenty of warmth. Ballad has been my client for a few years and being part of their projects means more to me than I can fully express. I feel genuinely grateful - and truly honoured - to contribute to their projects. The photos are finally complete for this bright, welcoming clinic designed for my wonderful client, Dr. Jennifer Webster, an animal chiropractor. In addition to her work with animals, she also practices human chiropractic care in a separate clinic. This space marks her first dedicated animal clinic - envisioned as simple, modern, and engaging for staff, while remaining safe and durable for her four-legged patients!
